Well, it’s official - Australia is now fully metric! After years of debate and discussion, the transition to the metric system has finally been completed. It’s been a long road, but we’ve made it! Yippee!
It’s no secret that the switch to metric has been a hot topic for some time now. But with all the hard work and dedication from everyone involved, we can finally say goodbye to imperial measurements and hello to kilos, metres and litres. It’s an exciting time for Australia as we move into this new era of measurement.
The transition hasn’t been without its challenges - there have certainly been some bumps along the way - but overall it’s been a smooth process. We’ve seen businesses across the country make changes to their products and services in order to comply with new regulations, while individuals have had to adjust their everyday habits too.
It may take some getting used to at first, but soon enough Australians will be using metric measurements like pros! So here’s cheers to our nation taking this big step forward into a fully metric future!
