Wow, this impeachment trial of Senator William Blount was a long time ago! Adams notified Congress of the alleged conspiracy back in ‘97 and the House presented articles of impeachment to the Senate in ‘98. Finally, after all that waitin’, the trial began in December of ‘98. Talk about a drawn-out process!
Wow, a senator just got impeached! That’s pretty crazy. It’s not something you hear about every day. I guess it goes to show that no one is above the law - even senators have to face the consequences of their actions. It’s a real shame, but it looks like they’ll have to pay for what they did.
